Archery "How to" & Safety help

A friend of mine has an 8 year old son who would like to get into archery, my friend does not hunt and does not know anything about archery. He asked me if I knew of a course, book, or video on Archery safety and how to. I am not aware of anything like this for an 8 year old. Does anyone have any ideas or a direction to go?

direction - your nearest friendly archery shop. Go when it isn't going to be the busiest and hopefully they have a bow. If not get a bow and hopefully the archery shop can spend some time with him and buy everything else from him. Could be a great friendship. Speaking from experience some number of years ago.
