Arrow whip

Hello Guys, I am having arrow whip out of my bow-Any body have any quick fixes or what is causing this- Its not on every arrow just about 1 in 3. I have a 27 inch Draw and and drawing 67 pounds- Shooting a 25 1/2 inch Easton axis 400 arrow with a drop away rest- Is this happening cause of such a short arrow and so much draw weight???? Thanks for your time guys. Any advise helps.
Thanks
Eric

Have you had the bow tuned? If everything is in tune then check to make sure your fletchings are not hitting your cables! Does it seem to kick the same way each time?

My guess is your left to right on the rest is off center! Meaning the tip of the arrow and the string are not perfectly lined up! Tough to tell if you don't have the equipment, but your local proshop should be able to help set it up!

The Axis 400 should have MORE than enough spine to handle the poundage your are shooting for the length of the arrow.

One other thing to check. IS it a different arrow each time? Mark a fletching and see if there is just one arrow going crazy! You may find you just have a tip or fletching problem!!

Good luck and hope this helps!

if its the same arrow, twist the nock a bit. might have one that is allowing vane contact. like AA said, should be vane contact, or you rest needs adjustment

I had the same problem with two of my arrows and investigated to find out it was my fletchings hitting the cables

Thanks guys Heading to the Pro Shop as we speak. I really appreciate the comments kind had me worried sick after spending 700 on a new bow!

That was my thought as well.

This was happening to me also. I was having a hell of a time paper tuning my bow. The shop owner came in,grabbed my bow and shot perfect tears! A few pointers from him on my grip and I was shooting gnats wings. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
