Through a generous grant of $167,000 from Kohl’s, UI Children's Hospital will present Kohl's Keeping Kids Safe programs at eastern Iowa schools along with other community events. Upcoming program dates include:

* April 6 – Ft. Madison Community School High School
* April 11 – Wapsie Valley – Community School Middle School
The educational events at schools include curriculum pertinent to children 11 to 15 years old; personal testimonials from patients who have experienced ATV crashes; automated clicker response technology capturing both exposure and knowledge; a tilt table that demonstrates how easily an ATV will roll; and samples of appropriate ATV helmets.
