Do you think having ATV trails on my land and riding them alot. Would scare the deer out of me area???

I think riding it during the right time of year is ok, now is no problem but during hunting season i would be very careful. i feed deer at this time of year and 10 min. after leave the deer are coming to eat... i do think the big bucks don't like that like of movement close to the season... good luck!!

one place i hunt, the landowners are both fourwheeler racers so they constantly are out ripping around, every day. it seems that most the deer just jump the fence and watch them pass then usually come back when its all over, but like qdmer said i wouldnt do it too much during hunting season, and dont do what they do, chase the big ones if they see them, that keeps them away for awhile

No! My buddys and I have been riding in our river bottom, cuttin trails and making all kinds of noise. We were wondering the same thing so we set up a ways out to see if the deer hauled a$$ out. They came out and waited for the fourwheeler to pass and they went right back in to the timber. Best thing was, we used the trails to sneek through the timber to get ot our stands. I will say that we did not ride through a couple weeks before and durring season. I say Ride On!

I usually try to stay out of the woods for the most part, but i use my 4 wheeler to put stands out and to check my cams, the reason is that in my area the deer are so used to farm equipment driving around that they are far more suspicious of someone walking than something that just buzzes by.

I have used 4 wheelers to hang stands and do a little riding. I ususally try to stay away from bedding areas with them or safe havens. Less is better in my book if you want to keep a mature buck on your farm. It just depends on the type of area you hunt and how the deer tend to react to people in the area you hunt.

I agree with QDMer. I take 50 pounds of shell corn a night down to the pond dam on my wheeler. About ten minutes after I get back to the pole barn the deer come over the hill to feed.

I don't try to rip around the timber during bow season.
Deer have an exceptional sence of knowing when they are threatened or not.
