I will let him fill in with the story. Good thing I let him have the morning off work!

P.S.-have I seen you as a model before? on a billboard, or in a magazine?

Awesome bird! Did you have to shoot a hole in that new double bull to get him?

First off, Sorry about the picture quality as it was taken real quick when I got to work. I have better ones, but there's half a roll of film left.
My dad, his buddy, and I set up on the edge of my property in his new Matrix about five O'clock. Not long after there were probably six different gobblers around going nuts. It really got the blood pumping. Shortly after fly down, we had one working his way towards us when something spooked him before we could even see him.
There wasn't much action after that other than a couple of hens passing through. Around 8:15, we got up and moved to a different location. At 8:45, we heard a gobble not far away down in the the bottom. A couple light calls and he was headed our way looking for love. A hen popped her head over the hill and walked through the decoys and headed down the hill to our left towards the tom. I was for sure she was going to take him away but some my dad's friends' calling kept her around. The gobbler circled around and came in right behind him spitting and drumming like crazy. He stopped at the back corner of the of the blind at 1 yard away. My heart was beating out of my chest! He fanned out and headed for the decoys. He stopped at distance of 5-7 yards, pulled his feathers back, stuck his head up and the 12 gauge 870 with Hevi-shot 5's found its mark. It was very close to the guillitine(sp).

This was my first spring gobbler ever and I even got to share it with my dad who I havn't hunted with in a while.
He weighed in at 21lbs, 9" beard, 3/4 and 7/8 spurs.

I am so hooked now!!!
