I'd let them go until at least next year, they'll really blow up! :D Cool pics, how's the fishing there now?

those are cool pics. i caught 2 this year out of farm ponds.. they are a cool animal. but hard on fish.

have a half dozen or so running around on our farm too. Haven't tried to capture them on trailcam yet, but those pics will inspire me. Great photos, thanks for sharing.

Im sure they eat the heck out of the creek chubs and bullheads. Second year that I've seen them in the area. Last year they were in the creek this is just some back water that I set the camera on a deer crossing. Never expected to get pix of otters let alone a family of six. My friend that traps is gonna be pumped.

Great pics Josh!! I guess if I had dumped a buncha money on my land to build a pond and the otters showed up .........I'd hate them too! There ya go! I did'nt!! I think they are a pretty cool animal!! If they are not the norm for Iowa, Let's kill it!!!!!!!!!! :thrwrck: Pretty amazing animal!! :way:

Sweet pics! you should send these to the DNR and maybe they'll use it as propaganda to up the quota some.. I hear there's a lot more of them around then people realize. My step uncle caught one on the Iowa River a couple years ago and I mounted it for him.

My friend caught one two years ago.

I seen one hit on the highway and called the local CO. He wanted its exact location.

I think they are good for the area.

Cool Pics. I had one in a creek under my tree stand last year for a couple hours. It was entertaining watching him chase crawdads but I think all the crunching kept the deer away.

Great pics! I had one in my pond last fall. Lets just say the fishing wasn't as good this summer as it had been in the past. Very cools animals but if he comes back this fall he will be introduced to a 3-30 conibear. They do make beautiful mounts, yours turned out great Airassault! :way:
