AZHunter
Iowa Boy At Heart
This has nothing to do with hunting other than a die-hard hunter (and Iowwhitetail member) was one of the lead biologists for this project, but I have to share and brag!! We (FWS) had been working with our State counterparts, UNLV biologists, and the BLM to get this project done for over 4 years. A little over 2 weeks ago, (29 April), we finally got all of the stars and planets in alignment and were able to begin establishing another population of a rare frogs in a remote AZ location and work towards recovering the population as a whole. For those of you who don't know me, in the video, I'm the guy in a blue polo shirt (uniform), tan pants, and tan hat (my Cyclones hat). I released the first of the frogs (froglets) from a green net. In the written article, I'm the one with the "eagle eyes". I wasn't actually the first one to spot the toads, but I happened to be there to point them out and talk about healthy riparian systems to the reporters. This culminates 4+ years of hardwork and dedication by all involved! Hope you enjoy!
