Yes, it will be interesting to see if anything comes of this.
I too wondered about the logic of this approach.
Not surprised about it occurring in Utah? I know, right? But if not there, where? Sorry Utah, you guys just have it like that.
I'm sure some people will use this as an example of "irresponsible gun ownership" but more on this in a minute.
BW is correct about muzzle discipline, and that would fall under the heading of irresponsible.
When I fist saw this I was slightly amused and even a little emboldened. Then I thought some more about it and kind came around to Gundogs way of thinking.
But after having read your posts on this, I wonder (this is not a rhetorical question) what really is wrong with what this guy did? He didn't break any laws, didn't threaten or menace anyone per se and aside from from the faux pas of not concealing his weapon, he didn't really do anything wrong.
Now, I understand what PromiseLand is saying however, why do people who oppose gun ownership get to decide where we take them? Admittedly , it would be a little unnerving to see that at the mall but no more so than seeing a large group of drunk bikers in the same place.
The point I'm trying to make is that I think maybe we should be sticking up for this guy. After all, the old saying goes, "first they came..."
If you don't know that saying I can spell it out later
If I'm off base on this one, let me know
