was back at my parental units house this evening and took a drive up around a mud road. was rewarded with a nice bachelor group of 5 bucks, 2 of which are going to hit in the 140-150 range. best thing is it's on ground i have permision to hunt!!!

i can't wait till october 1 so i can ambush 'em in the clover field!!

yeah, i was thinking that deadeye. those 5 were right dead between where you shot your big muzzleloader buck a couple years ago and where i shot my buck last year with the bow. that big alfalfa field just north of those big power lines. i wish i had a trail camera to get some closer inspection on the 2 bigger ones. maybe during the weekend of your wedding i'll sneak out there and sit up in the drainage ditch and use the telephoto on my camera and see what i can do.
