Axis Deer

My brother just emailed me some pictures of an Axis deer he took in Texas. He's pretty excited about it. He's been after one for 3 years and finally got one he wanted. He said it's 33 1/2 inches tall and 21 wide.

I think I should go down there on a hunt sometime. They're a cool looking deer

Cool Deer! This picture would be a good one to post in the"High Fence Pole" in the other forum, and see what it stirs up.

Was this deer shot behind a fence. I have been looking into taken one behind a fence, but I want it to feel like a hunt and not just drive up to one on a four wheeler and get off and walk up to him and kill him. What is your opinion on this hunt.

Here's a link for you. You can drive over to Bloomfield in about an hour, go through the gate,
pay your trophy fee, shoot your animal, and be home by dinner time.

Here's a link to my brothers friends place. It's 2500 acre fence operation. I've never been there but my brother say's it's a nice place and the owner "Scott" is a down to earth nice fella. Double Wheel Ranch

Pictures of the place sure look nice
