Back-up bow

I'll be looking to purchase a back-up this spring. I think I've pushed my luck a little too far not having anything to fall back on; last year's limb crack in sept. shook me up a little bit.
What's your guys opinion on a solid bow for under $200 (used of course)?

200 might not get you a whole lot, but if you looked around you might be able to find another SQ2 or a Q2 without any accessories.

Critr, I've seriously thought about that, I still love my Q2, but I think it would be difficult to find one in as good a shape as mine w/o still spending quite a bit of $$. I'm just lookin' for a bare bow, I have some accessories to put on it lying around.

used recurve!! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif you could get a used buckmast G2 for cheap. they are solid.

It will be tough for 200, but I have some awesome closeouts around 250. Used bows are harder to come by, but their are a lot of bow companies making higher quality bows at lower prices now a days! Depending on what you are wanting, I bet you could get into a nice bow for under 3 bills!

"Used recurve"??? Now that's funny, you should see me shoot my bro-in-law's black widow --> it's not pretty.
I did find a bow that I'm in the process of purchasing online, it's an old Darton Yukon (I actually shot this model years ago and wanted to buy one, but didn't have the cash). Decked out and in good shape for $100. My wife loves a bargain, so she's letting me get it. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif I think it'll make a perfect bow if I ever get in a pinch.

i know a got that shot a yukon for YEARS!! he swore by the dang thing. nothing pretty. but a back up indeed!

I had my bow swiped by some dirty thieves at the end of November this year and finished up the year with my old recurve. It wasn't pretty, but is was fun! I managed to harvest a doe but missed several, a backup I could shoot a little better would have been nice!

Yukon fell through, guess the guy thought a little better about his $100 price tag. Oh well, something else will come along, Oct. is a long way away...
