Backpacking for Elk

I have been elk hunting out west for a number of yers but have always stayed in town and driven up to hunt or been in an area where we used quad runners to get to our hunting area everyday. I am currently planning a hunt this fall in Colorado and am planning on backpacking in 1 day and setting up a spike camp and hunting from there. I was wondering if any of you hae ever done this and if so what your gear lists are. I am an expereinced backpacker and camper but was just looking for some ideas to revise my normal backpacking list. We will be looking at a 7 day hunt. Any input anyone has would be great. Thanks
