Backstops

What does everyone use for backstops? I am wanting to buy or build a 48" x 48" backstop that I can leave outside and use for putting targets on or putting 3-D target in front of. I've heard of the sandwiched cardboard idea but I'm not sure how it will stand up in the weather.
I searched around a little and found these http://www.allseasonsarchery.com/images/spyderwebtemp.jpg nice setup but it just looks really expensive. Anyone ever been around these?

I have made backstops sandwiching scrap blueboard from construction sites. A 2x6 on the top and bottom held together with how ever long you want all thread going through the 2x6's works great.

Check out the Montezuma shoot this weekend, I hear they have GREAT backstops.

I made one last year using sound board. It's 4'x4' with all thread drilled through it to keep it tight. If I get chance I'll post a pic of it this weekend. The whole thing cost around $100.00 do build but took some time.

Rudd...wasn't there a huge fan of them there backstops on the site here for awhile...a buddy of yours??? Where in the world did he go to.

The archery clubs up here a lot of times get phone books..does anyone know how well they work? I usually have a surplus of thousands of them, since I work for a phone company...
