Bad Decision!

Last Sunday evening I was sitting in a ground blind hoping to ambush a nice buck.

I saw a gobbler approaching me from about 70 yards away. As he closed the distance I raised my bow and he continued to come at me. He walked within 5 yards of me and I did not draw on him. For some stupid reason I decided that I wanted one with a longer beard.

Now this bird had a 5-6 inch beard, and I have never shot a turkey with a bow so what in heck was I thinking when I let him walk? I have been kicking my behind since.

Sounds like the lesson has been learned. Any turkeys that get withing your bow range in the future had better look out!!

fall season ain't like spring. can't get too picky in the fall. first one to come in range, is getting an arrow eaded its way
