I got pretty close to this badger on a farm in Minnesota.

Badger story incoming...Years and years ago I was fishing with my brother in a small creek. We were only 10 or 12 years old at the time. I was actually in the creek at the time while he was up on the bank above me as we moved upstream. Due to the height of the steep bank, I could only see the upper half of his body and sometimes I couldn't see him at all. No big whoop...so far.Suddenly, he starts running around and yelling at the top of his lungs. Again, I can't see the lower half of his body, nor the ground that he is running around on. There was a big commotion and I was quite puzzled about what he was doing up there. After 10 or 15 seconds of tearing up he jumps off of the high bank into the creek with me and he looked like he had seen a ghost. He then proceeds to tell me that a badger was chasing him around. Thankfully, it didn't catch up to him and bite him.
Don't mess with badgers!!

I've trapped/ shot about 20 Badgers. They can sure raise hell with the ground around the trap!.
