Badlands 2200 vs. 2800

THA4

A Few Steps Ahead Of You
I know the bulk of you guys who use the Badlands pack use the 2200 model

do any of you use the 2800 and can see any justification for using that one over the 2200?

i am looking at getting one this year, but have not decided which one to go with yet...

any insight would be greatly appreciated!

When I sold them I sold 1-2800.....to a fella hunting out West. The 600 additional don't sound like much but it's ALOT. It (at the time) had a better pack frame than the 2200. WHat are you going to haul in that sucker? If it's pizza and copenhagen let me know.

hahaha, well yes!!!!

actually i was thinking about going with the larger one since i take a pile of camera gear and thought having a little more space might be of benefit. im not sold on it yet, but i will have lots of extra stuff to pack in it!

I have just started using the 2200 this year for turkey/deer hunting and find that it has plenty of space for all of my stuff and I feel as if I have overkill. Mainly use this to carry the double bull blind and new Muddy stand w/ LW sticks at the end of this week.

The 2800 might be your best bet though if you are going to be carrying all the camera gear. Good luck on the filming this fall!

To haul the camera, arm and additional clothing get the 2800. I know you like to pack a few snacks along for the all day sits anyway. The roasted chicken and side of pork should fit in there nicely. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

After this weekend, id say you better take two 2800's with you tot he stand! I didnt think it was possible to take that much crap with you!

PS,
Id leave the cheese and vikings horn home next time!

Jonny,
Im sure he could get a crock pot, battery and charger to keep it nice and warm!

I told Little Smokey to just get the 4500 and be done with it. You could get a Brinkman smoker, rotissere, and condiment tray in that sucker.

Well, i got to look at both side by side today, and think ill go with the 2200. it appears to me the 2800 has more storage space on the batwing thingy, which would actually hinder their use in my opinion.

so my mind is made up, im going with the 2200, and i almost had the dad-in-law talked into getting me an early Xmas present.... but he said id have to wait... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif

doesnt he know presents are all about me!???!!?!??

Thomas,
I don't know where you are planning on buying but Boyd has the best prices I have found. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

i have already givin my wife his number and all the information and she will be going through him. since she is buying it for me.... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

i just was in DM this weekend and was able to get my hands on both packs. id rather play around with them before i buy one.

but Boyd will be getting my business.

I finally last week broke down and bought a 2200. I could tell in the first five minutes, which included strapping on the double bull and chairs that it was a wise investment. It makes it so much easier.
