Ok Limb sold his Wild Thing at the classic ( I was Looking at buying it). I would like to thank him because I order the Badlands 2200 and think I got the better pack.

I looked all over Iowa city yesterday morning but couldnt find any. So I came home and looked around on the net to find the best deal. I found it at One source distribution, free water bladder and free shipping. I called them around 1:30 and they said I would have it by the weekend. I thought that would be nice. To my surprise it show up today now that is fast, less that 24hr. I cant wait to get the blind hooked up and try it out.

But off to sleep I go, third shift is a bummer this time of year, but I love it in the fall..

Thanks again to Limb and Muddy....

I agree the badlands is much more versatile and less of a hassle than the Wild Thing.

I actually timed myself packing both of the packs with my turkey gear. Because I know I would have heard it from Weasel if it took longer to pack my "stuff" up then using the 2200. I know, I ain't right but I set up my blind in got all my "crap" out and set it like I would if we were hunting and then hit the stopwatch and proceeded at my normal packing speed, it took me 5 more minutes to pack that Wild Thing and I get tired enough listening to Weasel in the blind, I didn't need him standing over my shoulder breathing "nice pack Limb", "man that thing is fast", "really hassle free"...

Not that I would have done that to him, had he bought one.

Too many pockets, all of the pockets were the same size and couldn't fit anything of any size in them. The Blacks Creek warranty is a year, the Badlands is a lifetime no matter what you do to it. Was equally frustrating trying to pack my Lone Wolf in it. They are a nice pack but they have a ways to go.

Muddy also talked me into the Badlands, definitely a great pack, I used it for about half the year (as I got it mid season) and can't wait to put it further to the test.

Might be careful which year model you buy right now as the 07's will have some changes. I suspect we will see many of the old models showing up on ebay.

I wouldn't be afraid of buying any of the older models (last 4-5 years) The quality of construction is the same. If you've owned one you'll be hooked. Where do you guys get the great deals on these packs?

I have accumulated several Badland's packs. Turns out that the one I bought on ebay (a discontinued model) is now my trail camera pack. It is the rolltop stealth fanny in which two cuddebacks fit perfectly in the main compartment along with extra batteries and clippers in outside pocket. Top pocket contains screw driver, lock keys and extra compact flash cards. I was a little pissed at myself for not paying attention to what I was bidding on when I received it but all is good now. They do back up their product line as they reworked a Monster fanny due to the LW stand wearing on the material for free. I think all I paid was shipping back to the factory.

Not trying to hijack the thread but I got a Badlands Hypervent for X-mas this year. It's brand new, never outside, and comes with all paperwork and a badlands headlamp. Only thing I did was take the tags off.

I plan on selling this one and getting a Badlands 2200. I think it will fit my needs a little better. Will sell for $150 shipped TYD.

I also have a Hypervent, was a little disappointed in it but since I'm just using it for casual/everyday stuff it'll do. The 2200 is way better for hunting.

The BL 2200 is awesome

.... I bought one last year at the Classic... love it for turkey hunting.. carrying the DB blind, decoys etc... construction is second to none.

So where exactly on the 2200 can you carry the DB blind? I was looking at specs and just don't really see it.

Not positive but I would think you could just put those two straps on the back side of the pack around the blind.
