Best Target

I've finally had enough of my scheels brand foam layer target. It was a $30 cheapo I picked up a few years ago. It's beat and it's always sucked. Very tough pulling arrows from.
So...... What is the best foam target that can handle broadheads? I hit it with broadheads like most people, right at the end of the summer. 80% of my shots will be field points. I don't want to spend a fortune, but want something good and easy to remove arrows from.

Id say keep buying the cheap ones for broadheads because no matter what you use you will tear em up.. buy a good expensive one for your field tips.. I use the block

Block user also. But when you shoot broadheads and start cutting the layers of foam out, you will shorten the life of it big time. otherwise I love it for field points. I agree with Airassault. Buy something cheap cause it probably wont last much more than 2 seasons anyway with broadheads.

I shoot like you do...the vast majority with field points and as season approaches a few broadhead groups. So I use a bag target as my primary since it's much cheaper than the Block and takes literally thousands of shots. Then I buy a Wal Mart cheapo foam target that I only bring out when shooting broadheads. Typically can get 2 or 3 seasons out of each with this combination for less that $100 total.

Think I'm convinced that I should keep my old foam target to destroy with broadheads and get a new foam/bag for points. I may go with a block, as I want it to last a while, but the bags are nice. I have shot the Stuart 3D range quite a bit in the past and Gary has bag targets on the warm up range. I love pulling arrows out of those things.
I was pumped to finally put an arrow through the bow yesterday for the first time all year. Had a torn labrum in my right shoulder and was finally cleared by my surgeon to start shooting again!!

can't beat a block fusion for field tips, we prolly have 2,000 arrows in ours, and have a small hole in the fusion layer, but thats ment to happen..still stops em dead every time and will continue to do so for the next several years! Plus you cant beat the 4 side rotation to keep from always shooting at one or two sides. As the others said, a cheepo will work just fine for broadheads.

I bought the McKenzie ShotBlocker Bowhunter Target on sale at scheels last year and love it! I use to use a Black Hole and it was good but didnt last that long. i would recommend a McKenzie target to anyone! good luck

I've had a block and this will be the 7th year for it. I shoot target & broadheads and I'm thinking it'll last me another couple years at least. Best thing about the block, you have 6 different sides to shoot!

I have the Rinehart RhinoBlock and love it. Yes, it's a little more expensive (ok, quite a bit more), but its built to last. It has a replaceable broadhead core, which was one of the selling points, along with 6-shootable sides.

I'm on 3-5 years on that yellow foam target with the "BEE" or "hornet" on it?!?!? The front with bullseyes when to crap after 10 shots BUT I just peeled it off and spray painted dots. I'm far from the guy who is a target expert though. I bought this one a while ago and just buy a roll of duct tape every year to tighten them up & I spray new dots on them sometimes. I will admit, I'm basically like Robin Hood with a bow or the Elf from Lord of the Rings SO I don't need to shoot a ton. :) On second thought, I better not jinx myself and I'm getting my butt out shooting all evening tonight.
