Has anyone heard about a large buck killed by a white Chevy Venture last Sunday morning about 4 miles north of Ottumwa? If so my wife can take honors. $3100 worth of damage, the main beam of the rack dug into the hood and looked to be at least 2 1/2" thick along with a few tine dents. Thought my wife was slightly exagerating when she told me about the deer at 6:30 AM, but so far I have heard the story of a BIG buck being killed by a white van north of Ottumwa last weekend twice in the past week locally. She was on her way home from work and he ran out in front of her, front shoulder hit the right side headlight, smashed evrything including the grill, hood, fender, pushed the frame back, radiator support, what a mess.
Wish I would have had a chance to see the deer. Anyone heard about this????
