Big moon?

This coming Saturday, May 5th, will be a full moon and also the "Big Moon" since the moon will be at it's closest point to the earth this year. I know there are many thoughts and theories regarding moon phase and whitetails.

Has anyone ever given any thought to the effect of the moon phase on turkeys? (I haven't.) I am just curious what others may think about this.

The only thing that the moon affects for me during turkey season is it makes it a little harder to get close to roost areas while it's still dark

I read in an article once that when there is a full moon, turkeys will roost deeper in the timber versus the edge when it is not full moon. Not sure on validity of that, but who cares as long as you get a chance to get one!
