Well, for those of you who were curious about what ever happened with this buck,

I know Steve has his arms stretched way out, but the thing is still an absolute hog. I don't know what the final score is yet, and I will try to get some better pictures. The thing has tines over thirteen inches and mass measurements over 7 1/2 between the G-2 and G-3. I will get more info when I can. By the way the guy holding it is the taxidermist, the hunter was not available for pictures.
 
Nope Ghost, It was killed with a gun about a mile from where my buddy Ryan was hunting him and got these pics. Trust me, you don't want to hear the story. It will make you sick. It was taken legally though, and the hunter said he missed one bigger than this one about twenty minutes earlier although I question the validity of the story. And this big guy is destined for a plaque mount as the guy just cut the head off. My friend offered him a couple hundred bucks for it since he had a lot of history with the deer. The guy who shot it is convinced Bass Pro is going to give him at least $15,000 so he is holding out. My guess is he will be waiting for a while.

You now have me very curious about the take and would like to know how it was taken. I assume mass party hunt or something border line leagal. I also don't think it is a $15,000 rack. My dad has a 8 pointer that scores right at 180" and was offered a lot less than that.

I wasn't going to do it but after reading what was said I couldn't help but to agree! This whole scenario makes me "just lost a big deer sick", Now I don't know of a sicker feeling than that! The guy needs a real swift kick in the nads and to be sent over to china in the form of rubber dog $#!+

What a disrespect to the animal! A lifetime buck as such only deserves the best, and 15 grand ain't going to happen! I don't care what he thinks! Agh man that just pissed me off!

That thing is a hog ... and the guy who is doing the plaque mount needs a serious mental evaluation!
