My biggest deer to date came from back home in Nebraska when I was 19 or 20. It was about a 135"-140" Mule deer. Biggest Whitetail was a 130"er in Kansas this december.
This is my best scoring deer to date. Grosses 194 and nets 190 2/8. Took him in 1991 in an area I had found while shed hunting that same spring. This was in
Honestly, that is a buck of a Lifetime in KY. Honestly it would suprise me if the was one of the TOP 5 Basic Eights ever killed in KY. KY does have some good genetics, but the age structure is so young. We don't have many older deer at all or at least bucks. I believe it is 90% bucks harvested are 1 1/2 years old or younger. That pretty much tells the story. All though I am kind of developing a honey hole. My fathers property borders a Wildlife area that has been archery only now for two years. WOW!!! I have seen a tremendous difference since they quite letting people gun hunt in there. It definately is letting some bucks get some age on them. I am able to lure them out of the Wildlife area with my food plots, but it is still difficult to get them ground. If I could consistantly see some older deer here in KY I wouldn't have to spend so much time out of state. The only time I see any good bucks here is in the Late Season?
By the way I e-mailed OneCam to add my picture I don't understand how to post a picture? If some one could explain how to I would be much abliged!
My biggest like a few others is the one in my signature to the left. Shot in 1993, scored 151 3/8. Been working my tail off ever since to get a bigger one but no luck.
