Blazer Vane Adhesion

Has anyone fletched the new blazer vanes? For some reason mine aren't staying adhered to the arrow shaft. I don't have wraps and the place I went to used regular fletching glue. They wiped down the arrow shafts with a cleaner and while I was waiting for them I was reading the instructions on the "quick spin" vanes and they said not to wipe the arrow shaft down with anyting prior to attaching the vane. I know they aren't made by the same company but maybe they adhere the same.

i have read that sometimes a little extra pressure is needed for the first couple seconds, expecially for helical or strong offset

Willie,
Use Goat tuff, I just put a dozen arrows together last night and tried to pull one off and left half the vane. The glue really does make a difference. I did six with vanes and six without and had no problems. When I first got them I used regular instant gel and it just doesn't work as well. Goat tuff is expensive, but it works.

Thanks guys. I called Bohning and they said not to use AAE Fast Set Gel for an adhesive. Well, guess what - that's what was used. Anyway the technical help was great and they gave me a bunch of tips. I called the place I got the arrows and gave them the Tech Rep's phone number and extension. She said to have them call her and she would help them out even more. It's nice to call someone these days and get some sincere help. I can't wait to shoot these blazers - they look awesome.
