blind broke, advice needed on a new one!

Since I have been going crazy waiting for the IA turkey season opener I just had to setup my Brickhouse blind tonight in the basement, this blind is pretty sweet and for the money I was pleased with it. Then when taking it down one of the rods broke right where it connects to the hub, actually the metal adapter that connects it to the hub broke. I'm gonna call Ameristep in the morning and see what they say but I got a feeling this is a sign for me to step up and get a new pop-up blind. Any suggestions? Right now I'm thinking Double Bull obviously but does anyone have any experience with the Scheels Boondocks blinds? They look nice but I've never really looked at them that well. Thanks for the help.

I think you have a great blind already, dont know what the warrenty from Ameristep is but I would try that first.

I have always told myself, if I want something to last, either buy something that will last(proven by other people who have bought the product and tried it) and get something with a lifetime warrenty.

So with that being said, bust out the wallet and get yourself a DB.

Just dont leave it out, I heard they do fade but they are coming out with a protectent that you spray on the blind to protect it from UV rays

Side by side comparison the Scheels blind looks smaller and not as high of quality. Don't get sucked in because it's a little cheaper get a Double Bull, you'll NEVER need another blind, period.

You might want to contact Willie on this subject. He was in the same situation with Ameristep not that long ago.

If you are only going to own one blind, get a DB. Lifetime warranty. If you want lots of blinds, check out the new ASAT blind. High quality and two for the price of one DB.

Thanks guys, here is what I did this morning. I called Ameristep and got into Customer Service right away. Then I told the lady my situation and no questions asked she said she'll have 3 replacement parts shipped out right away!! I was real impressed with their Customer Service! She said the parts are newer and this has kind of been a problem. I'm probably just going to fix this one up for the spring and then invest in a Matrix before next spring. Thanks for the help, I know what you mean about that Scheels one, they looked nice but having it in Realtree HD makes anything look nice! I just couldn't see them being as nice as a DB.

Let me know how long it takes to get them. When I did the customer service thing it took over a month to get the darn replacements. If you're in a bind PM me. I've got a few extras on hand. At least they did that for me. Watch out on the fiberglass rods too - I had one snap on me right in the same area of the aluminum end that fits in the hub

Thats one heck of a buy. I don't think you could get anything better then a matrix. The best I've ever owned.

I had one pole break in my brickhouse.Called them up 4 days later I had a full set of solid poles( the old ones were hollow)never had another problem
