Blind placement

Is it necessary(sp) to place your blind in a tree line or such. Do they work if you place them in the middle of a field or what??? I've never used one and I know there are alot of DB fans but I got a great deal on an outhouse. It has the black lining so....????? I was checking out one of my strut zones while sheddin the other day and just noticed there isn't much for cover there, might be why I have never hunted that area, lol.

I have shot more turkeys with the blind out in the open than concealed.I dont even attempt to conceal it anymore.Just put it in the best spot that you think you can shoot one.

Put them WHEREVER you want! Put them in the middle of the field, brush, whatever!! The birds just don't mind, the big part is to keep it black inside and if you have black liner you are set!

Agreed. I shot last years bird with a double bull popped up about 35 yds from the edge of the timber in a picked corn field and put decoysbetween my blind and the timber, He walked right up to it.

Thanks guys. I took the one last year with my bow without a blind, wasn't easy. Figure I will use the blind since I have one now.

If you need a confidence builder watch any of the Double Bull "year on the ground" series videos they are out in the wide open most every hunt for turkeys.
