Blood Splatter on the Decoy

On opening day I had the blind set up at 3:15 and by 4:00 I had birds all over. 4-5 long beards and a couple Jakes with many hens. The Toms were very quiet but was fun watching them. A little after 7 this bird snuck in to my right. He wanted go under the fence but made a mistake to check out the decoy.
The blood trail and recovery was brutal but was accompanied.

Nice hunt! Congrats. You really got the decoy sprayed. Here's a pic this morning of my decoy upside down with my dead tom behind it. 2 other long beards were just brutal on my tom and decoy.

Congrats on another bow kill Ishi. That is why I use the 12 gauge. Less blood splatter. 25 pounder Monday at 10:15.
