some good, and some bad reviews on cabelas.com......
here are the negative ones so far.................not to be a negative nancy though :)

"I purchased 3 "blood runners" last evening, I shot my Bow 3 shots into a "block" target this after noon. On the 3rd shot one of my blood runners broke.
It broke on the red anodized aluminium where one of the pin holes are drilled."

"I love the concept of how the blood runner works. However they are not made strong enough to withstand any kind of target practice. I shot one head 4 times into a foam target and the front-end of one of the 3 blades fell apart.
One other thing, they advertise them as having a 1.5" cutting width. They are only 1.25 or 1.33 at best.
The blood runner should be taken off the market.

Sorry guys."

"What a piece of junk this broadhead is. Three shots into a Block target and a screw that holds one of the cutting blades fell out. I should have known better than to buy a broadhead that depends on screws to hold the blades in place.

Broadhead #2 after 2 shots lost a screw and this was after I checked them with a teeny tiny screw driver before practice. But wait there's more. Upon falling out in flight the blade reversed and when it hit the target the broadhead itself broke where a screw goes through the pretty red aluminum head.

It's going on two weeks and I've not gotten a reply from NAP to my questions of if they would replace the first broadhead with the lost screw and that's okay because I don't want anymore of these. The only reason it's getting 1 star is because this system requires it.

I'll stick with broadheads that actually hold together in flight and during impact.

TH"

Saw them laying on a table at the MN deer classic this year. Looks like a neat idea, but the reviews sure make it sound like they are going to be a 1time use deal.

I really don't put much stock in that statement. I never have seen the need to shoot a broadhead more than once. If your bow is tuned, the broadhead will hit the same as your field point. Why "practice" with a broadhead?
I see this time and time again in my line of work. Special targets for broadheads, practice blades, etc. In my opinion, all gimmicks.
Tune your bow, check one broadhead to make sure it hits the same and use field points for practice.:way:

As for the head in question, it looks too thick for good penetration.

I checked them out because I was interested in using them. I didn't buy them because the point doesn't fit tight in the base. I put one on an arrow at Cabelas and you can put your finger on the point and move it back and forth. It was what I suspected it was going to do when I saw the design. Probably wouldn't be an issue at 20 yds but not sure how they would fly beyond that.

I agree the design seems good in theory but man those reviews scare a guy away.

PS - If anyone would like to try them I was at Thiesen's Farm and Home the other day in Pella and they had them on sale for #29.99/ 3pack...They also had tree stands on sale Big Dog Beagle and Bulldog $39.99 & $49.99 for the stands in that order.

No replacement blades available, so they need to be resharpened by hand. Tht ais enough for me to not want them.

Issues staying together when hitting a foam target?

How will they work on flesh and bone? I too like their concept but think they need to make them tougher.
