Body found by Deer Hunters.

Does anybody hunt this Area?

Ames, August 11th, 2004 - This morning investigators in Story County are trying to identify a body found near a rest stop last night. Two hunters made the gruesome discovery just north of Ames along I-35.

The two men had been scouting the area in preparation for the fall hunting season. Investigators say it appears the body has been there for some time. Paul Fitzgerald, Story County Sheriff tells us, "It's about 2-300 yards west of rest area buildings, an area mowed - just past the ravine, halfway down ravine is where the body was found."

State investigators are now working on the case. So far, a cause of death has not been determined.

Whomever it was,that definitely had to be a shocker.I hope that If I ever found something like that,I wouldn't have my wife or daughters with me.They love to go out scoutin with me.WOW!!!!!!!

it wasn't me boys, but that is scary stuff. I was in that area last week dang near where they are talking about. I drove down both roads that go right to where they were talking and there was a truck parked down there with hunting stickers and camera cases. I wonder if they found it

maybe that's why I didn't see any deer, must of stunk too bad or something
