bow accessories??

Okay guys, got a new Carbon Element.. trying to figure out what I want to put on it for accessories. Not so much brand, or anything like that, but I want to get some opinions...
First off, fixed pins sight, or adjustable sight, or even a pendulum, even though I hunt off the ground a bit too.
Second, rest.. Fall away? Whisker biscuit? anything else?? I currently shoot a whisker with absolutely no complaints, and its strictly a hunting bow.
stabilizer?? I really dont even know whats good anymore..
I currently hunt with my quiver on my pack, would it be beneficial to have a quiver mounted to the bow?
Um, anything else you guys want to throw in would be great. Just want some input I guess...Thanks

I use the HHA wheel sight and i love it, i leave my quiver off as well,QAD fall away rest, as far as a stabilizer i use an axion

I use a Octane rest and stabilizer on a Z7. No complaints on either. I take my quiver off also so I went cheap on the quiver just somthing to match camo.

Problem is Hertel, I want a quality bow :drink2:
Thats why I went Hoyt and not Mathews duh...haha

I'm not one to knock people on what kind of bow they shoot but imo the Z7 is the best bow i've ever shot... also you should check out the carbon blade stabilizer from fuse it'd probably look pretty good on your rig

Ha, dont worry Hotshott, Im not knocking anyone. I am friends with Hertel, and we live to give each other alot of crap about our bows. Dont take everything to seriously :drink2: :way:
But thanks, I will have to check that out... I havent had a new bow in years, and all the new stuff out there is crazy, so its great to get everyones opinions

Just purchased the same bow. Here is what mine is rigged with

Spot hogg- Hogg it 5 pin, all .010 pins
Doinker Elite fatty carbon stabilizer
QAD/ HOYT ultra rest
Winners Choice string - the factory strings that Hoyt uses are garbage!

ALL BLACK! :way:

I have shot Mathews for atleast the last 10 years and had O complaints! I am still kinda in shock that I bought a Hoyt, but so far so good! I think you will love it!

Just trade it in for a mathews!!!! :) then a spot hogg 5 pin trophy taker drop away rest

My thoughts exacty!! :way:

Spot Hoff and Trophy Taker are great products. As far as quiver on/off it is personal preference, but practice with it the way you want to hunt. I shoot with mine off, just feels better and it was I'm used to. I wish I had it on somedays for a quick follow up shot... but who needs follow up shots?

I've got a Black Gold 5-pin site, Ripcord fall away rest, Limb Saver stabilizer, and Alpine Archery quiver on my Z7. I switched from the Trophy Taker fall away because I got tired of my arrows falling off at inopurtune times. I loved the Trophy Taker but while still hunting the timber out in AZ, I had to walk with my finger holding the arrow when knocked and on 2 occaisions, as I drew, the arrow fell off. That was 2 too many times IMO and I decided it was time for full contaiment. I shoot with my quiver attached, which is also a necessity of the type of hunting I do here. If I were back in Iowa full time, I'd probably be shooting without the quiver and be perfectly happy with my Trophy Taker.

HHA sight. Set if for about 25 - 27 yards and your good for most shots.
Limbdriver rest. Very easy set up.

Have fun with that new bow, and great choice! :way:

Like many others i use the HAA sight. I love a one pin sight. I also like the Ripcord fall away rest. I used the Wisker Bisquet rest for many years, and liked it. However; i never realized how effective a fall away rest was till i shot it.

I like the quality and price of sword sights. And I personally think it's tough to beat the G5 expert II rest, especially on a hoyt. It was the only drop-away I could get to work on my trykon year ago (I know not the best hoyt bow to use as an example).

sorry to jack the thread but has anyone used the G5 sight that has the fixed pin and then the movable pin with a range dial?? my buddy was looking at picking one up because he wasn't sold completely on a single pin

OH trust me, you are not hi jacking the thread at all..thats what this is about is to get opinions on everything :way:

Get a giant octane stabilizer. I killed my buck with the stabilizer. Bonked him right above the eyes

You certainly could have:grin:

Stay away from the QAD drop away. I have one and it sucks, IMO. Fletching clearance issues because it's a slow drop. My neighbor has the Octane drop away and it's 100% better than my QAD. Sure he doesn't have 360degree arrow containment, but how many times does a guy have to shoot his bow upside down?
I "fixed" my QAD, but snapping the upper bar off so I no longer have fletching hitting my rest or 360degree arrow containment.:way:

Fuse stabilizer all the way, they really quiet things down a lot. My S-Coil stabilizer is completely worthless.

Both my bows have the XR2 by G5...the sight is awesome but will not appeal to all. I just don't like having pins stacked up and having to choose.

I am sold on the octane i piece quiver (I do take it off in the stand) and the octane stabilizer for my bowtech but have the Fuse gear on my Hoyt

I had a wisker biscuit and switched to the QAD with no problems. I have the octane stabilizer, and a cobra Boomslang sight that works great in low light conditions. Last but not least a fuse quiver, which I'm going to switch I love the release/attach mechanism however with broadheads it does not work very well in my opinion, do to how small the opening is.
