Bow String Question

I was wondering how often some of you guys and gals change out your bow string. I bought the Switchback XT last summer, shot it quite a bit including about 4 or 5 shoots then used it extensively in bow season. I waxed the string often and it is showing no signs of fraying. Any recommendations as to weather I should keep it on or get it changed?? I'm open to suggestions.

if you keep waxing it and dont notice any fraying, you are probably fine.

I personally change my string once a year.

I view it as changing batteries once a year on smoke detectors.

Preventative maintenance prevents problems in the future.

what do you know about smoke dectectors....

Just make sure you keep looking over your shoulder Thomas!!!

I know where you live...
One of your boats just might disappear...

i got one for sale......
ill sell it to you....
in fact, ill even deliver!!!!

If you do alot of indoor, outdoor shoot plus hunting, my bow techy says once a year.

If you just hunt and a few shoot a year then once every 2 years.

Some problems are hidden and you cant always see that strand that brakes in the middle of your string.

That's a good point. However I think I'm gonna be alright for this upcoming year though. Unless something unforseen happens during the summer shoots... fingers crossed. Thanks for the input everybody, I appreciate it.
