Bow

Hey guys, I am looking at buying a new bow. Was just wanting some input on which y'all think is better. I'm deciding between the 2013 Hoyt charger, 2012 bowtech assassin, and the 2013 mission ballistic (all bare bows). Let me know wht you guys think! Thanks.

13 hoyt charger is really nice, I would stay away from the mission. You just need to go some where that has the assassin and the charger and shoot both side by side.

i haven't actually had one but I knew of two guys that bought them to start with and neither one liked them at all and the one friend had the thing just fall apart on him while shooting at a deer. I thought maybe he rolled a stick in the cam but he assured me he didn't.

Have you shot the charger? I've heard nothin but great things about it but I don't know if scheels sells it bare or not. I don't want the package case I'm going to be buying a drop away, new stabilizer and a new sight for it.

My son has the Assassin and it is a really nice bow, especially for the money. I picked it up used for $400. Lots of adjustment for growth too.

I have a mission maniac. I love the bow, only complaint is it aint the fastest. I shoot 28" draw and 60lb draw, and shoot 350 carbon express maximas but just dont get the speed i want

I shoot the assassin and it is a very good bow for the money and you can by them fully equipped. Try archery field and sport. They are bowtech and Hoyt dealers. U could shoot both to compare.

Just what feels right!! I have had 5 Mathews!! My next will be different brand ! Why????????? Cause I want a change!! Kinda like vehicles!! I have always owned GM! Next truck is gonna probably be a Toyota!!!
Mathews are damn good! Never had a problem! Just ready to move on!!! And I really am a skeptic on the post above on Mission!!

NOTHING wrong wit Mission bows, its basically a Mathews at a more affordable price. I'd own one any day!

:way:

I shot all sorts of Mathews bows starting with an ignition when I was a kid, I kept buying Mathews without shooting anything else and eventually i had a few problems and have since given my business to a different company. I shot the new creed and chill and I believe that Mathews has been passed and left in the dust compared to what other companies are producing. That's just my opinion and I tell everyone to shoot as many different bows as they can and go with what feels and shoots the best. To each his own. Let the bow pick you, no matter what it says on the limb

I personaly shoot a PSE Stinger 3g and it is by far the best bow i have shot. And yes i have shot many different bows from different makers

You should look at the PSE Sinister has about the same IBO as the PSE 3G but is only 28" axle to axle. Good price also about 600.00 for RTS.

If you are set on a new bow, staying in a decent price range can be tough.

I normally buy used, so pick out the model you like and start shopping on archery talk. Bows are not an item that hold their value, so you can pick up last year's model for about 70% the cost of new.
