bowfishing setup question?

I'm looking at getting a bow just for fishing. I am considering AMS's new bow. I can't remember the name, but it looks like it's just a Genesis tweaked for bowfishing. I almost ordered one, but held off. When I was at Cabela's Saturday I saw they had PSE Kingfishers for like $125. That is the route I will probably go but unfortunately there wasn't anyone in the archery dept. that could tell me if my AMS rest and reel would work with the PSE

. I assume it will, but I am going to do a little homework first.

If you want a good bow, get an Oneida. Pricey, but worth every penny, or so I've been told.

Assuming you have the bow. Just get a AMS setup.

These are the best setup I have seen, and one of the most common. You should look for a roller rest too, about $5. I have a buddy that shoots a trophy-ridge drop zone rest and I think he wore it out after two years of bow fishing with it.

If you dont have a bow then your on your own. Fishing bows take some abuse fishing the way I do. I climb up on metal railings of road bridges and shoot down into the water. My bow is always getting banged around. I have dropped it in the water once or twice aswell

Bows.

I would just buy an older compound bow or a cheaper newer bow and attach the reel and rest. I have an old PSE Infitity that a buddy gave me becuase it was so old. After I took the over draw off, I realized the reel didnt mount up to it. Its meant to go into a a quiver holes. So I just JB-Welded the mounting bracket to the riser, and attached my reel.
