Whats everyones bowhunting setup for whitetails,just curious if they differ that much from the typical setup here in the East? I'm currently bowhunting with a Mathews Q2Xl set at 65lbs.I use the original dropaway rest by Trophy Taker,A Hunter-hogg-it sight by Spott-Hogg.I shoot Goldtip XT5575,tipped with 100 gr.Boss bullets by Wasp and use a Tru-ball caliper release.
 
I dont know about my bow, but my gun is A combination AKA laser triple barrel double scoped heat seeking shotgun, I got it at wal-mart
 
mathews legacy 72lbs, trophy taker, copper john dead nuts hunter with afterburner light and pin protector (have a hunter hogg it coming), mathews one piece quiver, tru ball spider string silencers. easton axis 400 with 3 easton diamond 2 7/8 inch vanes, iowawhitetail.com arrow wraps (a must) have been using 100 grn wasp jakhammers but switching to the G5 tekan and a tru ball tornado release.

Didn't realize how popular the Trophy Taker rests were.And Alot of Tru-ball users also.Limb Chicken your really going to like the Spott-Hogg,that's the same model I have,it's a quality sight.

What you need to do is find yourself a good piece of hot Ash, and whittle yourself a good bow with all the right curves... Takes some time, finding the right Ash and all. You may even have to cruise around for awhile in the woods, hence the saying - "cruisin' for a piece of Ash".
