Bowhunting within city limits

What are the laws regarding bowhunting within West Des Moines city limits ? I'm not referring to special hunts, but regular bow season on private property on the edge of town. I have a friend that just purchased a house and several acres that is very heavily populated with deer. There is also much timber around it, and I have been invited to bowhunt there if the rules allow it.

So . . . does anyone know about the rules for bowhunting within city limits? I haven't spoken to anyone who knows the answer yet. Thanks

Camoman - I would first start with city hall, and inquire about it, I know certain cities do not allow anytype of hunting "INSIDE CITY LIMITS", if no anwser there, then WDMPD possibly. If you strike out there then you can always try your conservation officer in the area.
Good Luck, and let me know how it works out.

I might be mistaken but Supertec is right I think that it all depends on the city officials as well as by-laws.
I am going to check with our city hall and find out because I have seen some big boys here in town as well as on the fringes.DNR first though.
I have got a guy that wants some does taken off his property. He said that i could take a buck but he is wanting more does gone. His wife keeps losin he garden and flower bed foilage.
