Bowhunts cutting down deer-vehicle crashes

I really like the coralville hunt. I would like it better if they would require you to shoot at least 5 antlerless in a year, then the next year as soon as you shoot your 1st antlerless you get your buck tag, and you would have to shoot a total of 5 that year to be eligable for a buck tag the next year and so on.
The way it is set up now it is a race to get one of the 10 tags by tagging 5 and next 10 go out by lottery. There would be more incentive for others to continue to shoot antlerless deer as long as they knew they were going to get a tag next year as long as they had taken 5 during the length of the year. I believe this is how Cedar Rapids does it.

Didn't realize IC had so much money to spend.

Somewhat off topic, but you have NO idea!

The IC Council just shelved plans for a new fire station citing a shortfall of money, then signed a $80,000 contract for "outdoor art" that will be placed outside the water plant! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif

One of the lead people on the IC Deer Commission has close to 30 adopted cats living in her house. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif I guess we all know how committees work, you try to get representation of all views.
