Bowsight.... Third axis??

Cornfed

Bowhunting Addict
I am finding that my most difficult decision thus far is deciding on a bowsight..... different sights talk about having a 'third axis' adjustment.... is this a good thing? .. I have heard good and bad regarding it.... keep in mind that 95% of what I will be doing is hunting... not competitive shooting.... any insight is appreciated...

Seeing I made the same transition as you (instinctive to scooter)...I would look hard at one pin sights. I really have liked the cosmic site, but there are a lot of them out now. I set it dead on at 25 yards and judge any variation of yardage off that set up.

Helps fine tune accuracy but only at different up or down hill angles and it needs a level to be adjusted. I would say in most hunting distances and situations, you would hardly see the difference and do just fine without it. If you hunt from a treestand, site in from a similar downhill angle as what you expect your average 20 yard shot to be and you'll do just fine.
