Box blinds- downwind

How successful have you guys been hunting box blinds in the "wrong" wind. I've got a plot that I would like to build a blind on, but with how it sits, it would be easiest to build on the North side. This would obviously not be the best with the predominant N/W winds.

Thoughts?

I never hunt with my wind blowing to the food plot. I know what you are going through my best food plot needs an east wind. You just have to wait for the right winds. You will be surprised how many southerly winds you will get.

We use them same as hunting tree for right wind and scent control but do get away with a lot more when they do move down wind. Our elevated blinds have vents on them that are about 18' -20' off ground and we keep windows closed when deer are around as needed.

I get away with almost everything. If the windows are closed, its really cheating. It can be done for sure. Just need a good sealed up blind.

I can hunt any wind out of mine, my only concern is getting to the blind undetected. It must be sealed well for it to work. If you can feel a draft, your scent is escaping.
