Buck buster use or other knife preferences?

Anyone use a buck buster knife yet?? Looks like a nice design to me. If you have used one how about edge holding and ease or not of resharpening? What are some of the other knives that you enjoy using for hunting puroposes Kodi pak? How is the steel on a kodi, do they hold a good edge? I like the Buck 110 folder which I lost a few years ago, I like the 119 special also. I know buck holds a decent edge. I'm pretty hard on knives, the pelvis is easy enough to split if you hit the right spot the ribs open up fairly easy in the right spot also, but still fairly rough on an edge.

My favorite knife for field dressing deer is Buck's Alpha Hunter. It's a folding lockback. The one I have has a gut hook on the back side of the blade and elk antler handles (like "B" on the picture). It's easy to keep sharp and makes quick work of field dressing.

Yeah I like Buck brand and I did catch a glimpse of that Alpha hunter. How about the gut hook design, a diamond file works good on some but not all. Is it sharpened on one side or both down to a "V"?

It's sharpened on both sides down to a "V". It makes that first cut through the skin easy, fast, and without any worries of puncturing internal organs. I keep the gut hook sharp with a rounded diamond file that Buck also makes.

I have the buck 110 folder and like it also, but I have a hard time keeping it sharp. My best knife for holding an edge has been by gerber gator with a gut hook, cleaned three deer with it this year without sharpening and it still has a good edge.
