buck decoys

JRudd

Aim small miss small.
I'm looking at getting a buck decoy this year. Just wondering if I could get some input on the ones that any IW members use. Which buck decoys have you used? What do you like about those particular ones? And which ones would you rather have and why?

I'm leaning towards the promos scarface, or hairy. But thought I'd get some opinions:)

Thanks in advance!

I have a flambeau buck decoy. I'd prefer a boss buck but will see how this one performs this year.

For what a DSD costs... You might aswell track down a taxidermist that can mount a hide over a decoy. I'm thinking of having that done for my decoy.

Whatever you get... I'd order or make something where there's movement in the tail.

Good Luck

Not trying to hijack this thread, but I'm wanting to get a decoy as well. Thinking one that can be a doe or buck (by adding antlers) would be more versatile as they could be set up either way. Anyone have an opinion on these? Would deer react differently to a decoy that is modeled after a buck (dsd posturing, boss buck, etc) than one that looks like a doe with antlers?

Anyone have experience with the Tinks decoys? Cheap, but do they work?
