Buckeyes worth it?

Got a few buckeyes given to me- do deer eat them at all? Guy gave me a few burr oaks too- the acorns off them were the size of golf balls or maybe slightly bigger, was crazy to see that size. I have a few chestnuts already growing on year 2- just really trying to get super diverse. Any suggestions to add/maybe get rid of out of the mix? I’ve got tons of walnut on my piece, elms and oak, a lot of box elders in weeding out (got a wood burner so that helps)- planted and caged 20 fruit trees. Making a 5 acre sanctuary on the back corner that I can’t access “easily” with equipment so hoping to keep everything else as diverse as possible to keep deer in the area for longer (I also have food plot rotations too)

Buckeyes are awsome. Take your kids and go find em. It's like a september easter egg hunt.

Hummingbirds are fond of them. They're blooming as the hummingbirds are arriving back from their migration.

I'd put them low on the list of overall value tho, but they are valuable enough to keep a few for diversity.
