Bucks are chasing!

I seen a nice buck chasing a doe this morning on the way to work.

Do you think we can start using doe in heat scent?

my dad shot a doe two nights ago that already had been bred, he said it had huge scars down its back where a buck had mounted it already. it was a huge old doe, i always hear those come into heat a little early, so im sure you could, he said every buck he has seen has been wandering through the woods with their nose to the grounds looking!!!! goodluck!!! this weekends gonna be great!!!!!

Saw a 2 1/2 yr old buck running a doe last night. They both threatened the front grill of my vehicle until I hit the brakes hard & laid on the horn. Night before last a friend saw a huge buck run in front of her with only one thing on his mind. She said the car lights/noise etc. didn't phase him; he just kept running. Maggs

I live in the city but have some woods in my back yard. Yesterday morning at 7:00am a 120 class 8 point was chasing a doe around the woodlot. He wasn't simply harrassing the does as I have seen in the last week or so, he had singled one out and was pursuing her exclusively. Unlike to other does in the group she was not trying very hard to get away. I would say a little scent, rattling, grunts and bleats would probably get you a close encounter. Gotta love this time of year!

I seen a beauty last night at around midnight. He crossed the road right in front of me and I watched him sniff across an alfalfa field with his nose to the ground like a coon hound. He would have locked on a scent drag.

That's a good idea corndude! I have to walk across a real big alfalfa field to get to my stand. I'll try a scent drag the next few mornings.

definetly the bucks are moving looking for receptive does. My friday afternoon hunt counted 12 deer. 11 of them were bucks. 1 spike, 2 baskets, a dandy 12, and the rest 8's. With 4 of the 8's within' 30 yards. Sure wished I could have drawn in the 12. I tried but he seemed a little spooky and extra alert already from something. I'm stuck here at work this weekend then am off for 2 weeks. Crap..................it's gonna be a long weekend........

long weekend... I have to work overnight 12 hour shifts on Friday and Sat night. Sun I need to get a little rest. And I don't have any vacation... Just started a new job and am bummed about the time I get to hunt. Couple days during the week is all.

At least a good buddy (muddy) got his schedule changed so we can hunt Mon together to try video.

Every weekend is long.

my excitement is jumping on this site to hope that people are having good luck and posting pics of big bucks. Just wish more people had more time to spend on this site, but can't blame anybody for hunting the whole weekend.

You guys are killing me!! I'll be headed up there Thurs. 11/6 thru Sat. 11/15. Man I hope they just keep gettin' hotter.
