Bucks for Bucks

In NAW this month they had the second part of a story Bucks for Bucks.A section in this story talks about insurance coverage for your mounts.About a month and a half ago my family lost their home and all belongings to a fire.I lost a 14pt.and 11pt.P&Y mounts many Zach prints and turkey fans.My insurance company covered the loss of the mounts but you can not go to walmart and but a couple mounts off the self. Please take the time to contact your agent to make sure your mounts are covered and that you have enough coverage on art work, firearms and hunting gear.Old Buck's place was great getting me copies of incoices and appraisals on my loss.Things are now getting back to normal and hope to be in the stand this weekend.I have some wall space that needs to be filled.

Great advise, and I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Good luck this season!

Hadn't really thought about that until you put it into real life. Good advise. [ QUOTE ]

It happened to me November 8, 2000. A day that I will never forget.

The list of stuff I lost looks a lot like the things you mentioned. I had my sheds and racks valued by Larry Huffman and the insurance paid the value. However, I can never get them back. Some of those big sheds... it still brings tears to my eyes when I think about them going up in flames.

I wouldn't wish a fire on my worst enemy.

Been there, March 13th 2002 I know what you have been through. Sorry about your home, I hope that no one was injuried.

Nobody was hurt,my wife did in-home daycare and got three kids out safe! The bad thing was we were having landscaping done and they did not call one call to have the utilities marked and hit a gas main. What the fire did not damage smoke and water ruined the rest.Like Iowa1 said,I would not wish a fire on my worst enemy!

sorry to hear about your loss. who was the landscaping company? isn't it law that they have to get things located before they start digging? especailly on big projects. i used to work landscaping

Great advise...
I know money can never bring back things that have an emotional tie to you, but hopefully the money can get you back on track towards new memories
