Bucks with Does already??

I was driving along NW 66th last night headed toward Ankeny and seen 3 does chasing after a 130 class 8 point. This is the first time this year, I've seen a buck with does. Compared to the rest of you, I'm pretty new to deer hunting and understanding their habits. Would this young buck still be hanging out with mom or are things a changing and the bucks are not hanging out together anymore? He kinda looked like he was out of velvet. My wife was talking to me about something important when I seen the deer. All I could do was point and say, check out that buck over there. I think it was something about my kids, but not sure. Oooops.

I haven't seen the opposite yet but I have seen smaller bucks around does.One time that sticks out was about two weeks ago.I saw a couple of decent 10 and an 8 with some does.The big boys are still hangin in the thicks.Be a little bit before the testosterone will begin to get the better of them.I am ready.
