Bushnell Trophy Cam?

Should have one in my hands within 10 days. I am a novice in the cam area so I should be a real good tester from the perspective of evaluating "ease of use". I'll try to get it out some before the end of June and let you all hopefully view some real results for this product.

Hung one of the Bushnells up yesterday. Should have some pics to share in a week or so. So far I'm loving this little camera. Setup is far easier than it's stepbrothers (scoutguard & covert). Putting the remote's screen into the camera and giving us more buttons for setup was exactly what was needed. No more little remotes and no more scrolling thru options in one direction.

Got it today. Man is this thing tiny !! It is smaller than most people's hand. Got some reading to do tonight to learn how to set it up but looks like I got it just in time for growing season. :D

Anyone have recommendations on settings for this camera? I have it set on photo instead of video. 5 mpixels rather than 3. Three second photo intervals (thought I would mainly have it on trails, gates, or corners rather than licks or corn). I would go longer if set up on licks, etc. Any other suggestions ??

For those using the video feature, how do you view the video. Do you pull the unit from the field and plug directly into your PC ?

Thanks for any and all input for this game cam newbie.

Here's a couple pics from my first card pull with the Bushnell. No complaints so far. Seems to be just like the scoutguards. I really like the setup controls inside the unit and the batteries are definitely easier to change than the first scoutguards. I think I will try it out on video mode next.

I usually just pull the card to view the video's. The computer I'm using has a memory card slot right on it. If yours does not then you will need to pull the whole camera.

Or you could go to walmart and buy a card that comes with a USB adapter that the card fits into and plugs directly into your USB connection. I got one that came with a 2G card for like $15-20 last year. Thats how I check mine, just have two cards for each cam swap out cards and use the USB adapter to view back at home

I also use two cards per camera and change them out when it's time. If your computer doesn't have any media slots you can purchase a Sandisk card reader that plugs into your USB port on your computer. The card readers can be bought anywhere for less than 20 bucks.
