When hunting I cut a little spot on the cable string and am not sure if it needs a new one. My dad told me he thinks its fine since I didn't actually cut deep enough to nick the cable. Im not sure what to do and I got zebra twist strings if that helps.

If any strands are cut I would replace it. No reason to take a chance on it coming apart on you.
