Call the Trad police !!!!

For the past couple hunting seasons, carrying a longbow, I've come to enjoy wearing leathers when hunting. Just seems right for me. Since mine were stolen last spring and I haven't recieved my replacements yet, I've been at a loss as to how to hunt this fall.
Well, call me a Rebel and call the traditional police. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif Figured since I'll probably be using camo this year, let's just take this traditional shooting to an extreme.
The "Black Bow" has been doing nothing but collecting dust since i built it so what the heck, let's shoot it. I installed an old sight, limb bolt mounted quiver, stabilizer, Berger button, and a sling. Took me about a dozen of the arrows with no soul to get her dialed in and damn, this thing shoots. I'm currently shooting fingers but may have to give an old vintage release I have a try later on.

What's that? /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
The only crackers that will be around this bow will have cheese and venison summer sausage on them.

As for the Sacrelege, this coming from someone who shoots a recurve that the limbs are bolted to the wrong side of the riser? /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Now I've gone and done it! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif

I agree Shovel. It will be neat to have a story and a hunt for all the different bows you have.

I'm far from trad police. That's one of the best look'n halfbreed's I've seen, what riser? I've got a Quinn Stallion, good shoot'n bow.
As for the bolts on backward.....it's just a necessity for all that vicious power.

It's an old Cabelas Laser Mag riser with Samick limbs.
Just giving you some good natured ribbin on the Widow. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

I get a hard time from the trad gang at work for going back and forth between the longbow and compound. I love em both so as long as I'm having fun...they can keep pitchin em and I'll keep duckin em. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Have fun with it! Looking forward to the story(s) in the harvest forum. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

Well, after trashing a finger getting broadheads ready for this bow from hell, I'm not planning on hunting with it any time soon. Lighter weight was in order so Ive been shooting this Groves. 42 lbs. will work just fine until the finger heals. Besides, friends were saying I was flirting with the "Dark Side" with the other one. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
