Calling during the rut

Has anyone had any luck with the Growl/Roar yet this season?

Went out tonight and started Growling... had a nice 10+ point come in pretty upset! He was leary of my blind so he didnt come in close enough for a shot! I was just curious!

Only thing that's raised any curiosity out of the deer in my area has been rattling. The growl hasn't done anything one way or another yet...nor has a doe bleat.

I'm sure the time is coming close. I'll be back out tomorrow trying it again.

I called in a 8 pointer yesterday grunting with the primos roar. Also had a few other small bucks come to rattling. Been seeing alot of does still all hanging together without any bucks really chasing them yet. But the time is coming.

last year on october 24th i called in a nice 10 point with a primos doe in heat bleat. i was down in draw and i seen him rubbing a tree 250 yards from me up on a hillside.i couldnt believe he heard the call but he did. i dont know if its just certain deer that like the calls or what. because this year they wont even pay attention to my calls they just keep walking. kinda weird

Hmm.. ive had luck somewhat with rattling and somewhat it growling! so... i guess we will just see when everything takes off!
