camera question

Ive been trying for a few years now to get a succesful hunt on video but have yet to close the deal. One of my biggest problems is the beep my camera makes when turning it on or hitting record. I cant get it on without spooking deer unless I see them coming from a long ways away. It also seems a little noisy when its running. I was wondering if any of you have a camera you would suggest I try.Thanks for any help you can give me!

Go digital...fewer moving parts

Look for your owners manual or look online for one. You SHOULD be able to set your options so it doesn't make beeps when you do that stuff. My Sony - similar to Shredders link - made noise like that until I changed the options. They pretty much all make a little noise when they are on and recording, but nothing that has spooked a deer for me. I have had them right under the stand and was really impressed they didn't hear it.
