Moose, I did the Ripley hunt a couple of times, years back. I can't really say I enjoyed it that much, because of they way it's run, it's kind of a mad rush to get to your spot in the morning and get in and get set up. They take some huge bodied deer each year, with some good P&Y class animals. Personally I would do some serious research on topo maps etc. before going in. Good Luck if you try it.

Here is some info from the DNR site.

I've done the hunt a couple times also and agree with SEMN. It's a free for all but there are some nice bucks taken. Don't expect to see much for natural deer movement due to the pressure. Set up on escape routes and funnels that the deer might be pushed through. I'm going to try it again this fall since I won't be drawing Iowa.

It's not far from here and it is a real cluster. They get a handful of good bucks out of there each year but you can't really expect to go in thinking you are going to have a shot at a trophy. Go to the MN DNR site for more info they have all the details there. It is a way to add another opportunity to bag a deer though.
