Castana poachers

Does anyone have any specifics on this? I just heard the incomplete story last night from a coworker. It sounds like it was affiliated with a large outfitter and that 3 deer had been poached. I wont mention the outfitter but I would appreciate any info anyone has on the Castana area arrests.

It sounded like they never contested the tickets they received. Hopefully it will shut down their operation.

Our Conservation officers busted 3 guys from out of province, (Quebec) yesterday for killing as many as 15 whitetail bucks in a week. They caught them because the had tried send a bunch of the racks back to Quebec via courier and they came back to the hotal b/cof blood leaking. By then the fellows were gone and had moved Northeast to a different area of Saskatchewan. Officers caught up with them there and they had video of at least 8 bucks shot in the area they were caught. I heard they got a $15000 fine, I say big deal, that's $1000 a mature buck which is far to lenient. I wish they'd throw them in jail.
